ARCOP, the architecture practice, wanted to return to one of their landmarks. The JIIT campus they designed twenty years ago, seen again through a lens of sustainability and how the building has settled into its setting.
The hard part was emptiness. The campus is fully working and full of students, but the film needed it quiet and architectural, with the building as the subject. So we shot at the edges of the day, early morning and late evening, to catch the place still and the light low and long.
I produced, directed, flew the aerials and edited. The cut holds on form and material and lets the architecture breathe. A twenty year old design, framed as something that still feels current.
